I had called another air conditioning service company, which has sent me a flyer in the mail, to service the system at my home. The system was blowing out cold air but within and hour would stop. The company performed a maintenance check and advises me that the coil needed to be either "cleaned" or "replaced" but that they wouldn't know until "we get in there." They provided me with an estimate and suggested I call back if I wanted the work performed.
I then saw your ad in the yellow pages, took the time to call you & personally spoke to you. I am glade I did because your company has been the only company that has been straight up & honest with me.
...Your technician took care of the problem in the most affordable way. He did a thorough check-up on the system & even told me that there was a problem with the heating part of the system but that could be taken care of later on. I agreed to call your company in the fall to have the system looked at again.
Of all the companies in San Antonio, I beleive your company is the most honest & I wanted to let you know that I have deal with many companies here in San Antonio - plumbing, electrical, etc. None have impressed me the way your company has. In the future I will call you if I need any work performed on my system & recommend you to my friends & co-workers. As a matter of fact, I have told this story to my co-workers & they suggested I should call KSAT 12 News & put a sting on these dishonest air conditioning service companies.
Again, thank you for your honest help.
Sincerely,
Olga De Jesus
"I just wanted to thank you and your crew for a job well done. I pray God will bless you abundantly for your honesty and integrity. The two men that worked on my a/c were very hard workers and handled themselves professionally. They worked very late without complaint...I know their families sacrificed also. Should I ever come across anyone who needs a/c heat work, I will highly recommend your company."
Thank you,
Christi
"Thank you for once again rescuing me from the sharks in the air-conditioning world. My client and I appreciate your help so much. Its a blessing to have someone to turn to that can be trusted to do "good", work at an honest price. I will be calling you soon to replace my other unit."
Gratefully,
Marti
For qualified improvements, homeowners may be able to claim tax credits equal to 30% of the installed costs (up to $1,500).
The new tax credits are retroactive to January 1, 2009, and expire on December 31, 2010. The $1,500 limit is for all improvements made during the two year term, not $1500 each year.
Homeowners may use the entire $1,500 tax credit limit on a single qualifying improvement. The previous per-appliance caps that limited the homeowner to just $150 for a high efficiency furnace or $300 for a high efficiency central air conditioner or heat pump have been removed.
Homeowners that previously claimed tax credits in 2006 or 2007 are eligible for the full $1,500 limit.
Homeowners who install geothermal heat pump systems may be able to claim up to 30% of the installed costs in tax credits in the year the system is placed into service. The $2,000 tax credit limit has been removed. The geothermal tax credit has a longer term, from January 1, 2009 and expires December 31, 2016.
HVAC contractors should be aware that the $1,500 limit applies to many types of energy efficient home improvements, including windows and doors, roofing shingles, and insulation. All of these contractors will be competing for the work related to these tax credits.
If you are preparing marketing materials, make sure you include information about these tax credits.
